Living for Jesus

Last night my family and I watched a movie called "Letters to God" which was based on a true story.  If you haven't watched it yet, you must.

A brief summary of the movie:

A young boy of about 10 years old has a rare form of brain cancer but has tremendous faith in God.  Every day he puts a letter addressed to God in the mailbox.  Within a short amount of time, most of the people in the community knew about these letters to God.  Young Tyler's life was a testimony of faith.  Though he died, everyone who had known him became a better person for it and grew closer to God.

This got me thinking.  Here is a young boy who changed his world by just spreading God's love.  He was an advocate for Christ.  He had cancer, was a weak in body and yet changed the world.  Am I, a simple young girl doing the same?  I am even healthy!  I should be.

In conclusion, I was encouraged to look around me and  be an advocate for Christ and help change my world.  Whether it be making cookies for a neighbor, helping make dinner, read a book to a sibling, or encouraging others to come to Christ.

Let us live for Jesus!

This movie really, really stretched me too!

I have so many opportunities to live for Jesus and be an example...I just pray that I would actually DO the work with joy.

Thanks for reminding me about it...maybe we'll watch it tonight:)

Love you, Friend~

Great thoughts. It really is in line with the book of Titus.... i.e. accomplishing good works for the glory of God. God will do amazing things through us if we would be willing to give our whole lives over to Him. Excellent post. :)

In Christ,
Joshua :)
