Take Time to be Holy

As we look at the New Year, we wonder how best to use our time.  Maybe we schedule in more time for our family, or more time for God.  Here's a hymn I wanted to share with you all telling us to take more time to be holy, and spend more time with God.

Take Time to be Holy

Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
Make friends of God’s children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.

Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.

Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide;
And run not before Him, whatever betide.
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word.

Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each motive beneath His control.
Thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted for service above.

(Note: Spending time with God is not just in prayer and reading His word.  It is reaching out to the lost, helping those in need, comforting the weary.  We are God's hands to reach out to the lost.)

In Christ Alone,
~Bethany~

I've felt very convicted lately to spend more time not only in the WORD, but also in serving/blessing/helping others! This song is perfect!!!

Love,
Jenna

The lyrics to that hymn are wonderful! Thank you for taking the time to encourage all of us!

BTW, I heard about your dream! I'm sorry, I had to laugh, but this comment proves that your dream was a dream and not a reality! Hey, did our mommas plan a time that we will al be getting together? I think that they did yesterday!!!
Got to run...

Hi Bethany! You left a comment on my blog and said that you awarded me, but I can't seem to find the award. Could you maybe tell me which post it's on?

Hugs,
