These words were twirling through my head last night when our favorite doe kid (U R My Sunshine) from 2009 aborted at about 3 1/2 months along. We were so looking forward to Sunshine freshening as she looks to be about one of our best yearlings! Why this happened, we don't really know, as we haven't changed feed, given any medication/antibiotics/wormer/etc, moved in new goats to her pen, etc. It's rather puzzling and very disappointing. As far as we know, she only aborted one and who knows, could keep some alive. Perhaps she had so many she was getting squished in there. That is best case scenerio. Last night I could still feel one up in there, so who knows what will happen.
On the positive side.....it was pretty intreaging. The fetus was so perfect, 4 perfect little hooves, 2 tiny litte ears, 2 little nubs on top of the head. There was no hair and the skin was somewhat see-through, so you could see each little bone in the legs and that tiny little rib cage. Oh, and just so everyone knows....it was a buck. :D
This got me thinking about human abortion. Life is so precious! I was thinking about how most pro-choice people are all for the saving of animals and animal rights, etc, etc. I'm sure they would fight HARD if you gave an animal an abortion. Yet they don't care a whit about the way more precious humans. Anyway, just a random though from Bethany.

That is so true Bethany! A phrase comes to mind which is kind of common: "Save the whales" These days it's been unspokenly paired with another phrase: "Save the whales, kill the babies"
People just don't want to believe that there is a child in their womb that they are killing when aborted. That is very sadding to put it mildly. How could a mother kill her own child? We need to pray for our Nation! We certainly need it.

Aww, that is too bad. I am sorry! I heard on Urban Exodus that the ASPCA will not authorize vets to perform abortions b/c "there are little puppies in there!" GAG! since when do animals have more value than a human. Sheesh! That is just plain scary.

Thank you for the well-written post, Bethany. It's devastating to know that so many children are being aborted everyday. I continue to pray that more people choose to be pro-life! We just have to trust God, that He will help our nation! :)

I'm SOOOOOOO sorry about Sunshine, my friend. How sad;(
It's also devestating to think of how many people abort their babies and they don't think twice about it...same with birth control - people don't realize (or maybe they do?) that it can/is killing their blessings that God is giving them. Heartbreaking and wrong.
