I apoligize....

I have some serious apologizing to do here on my blog.  I few days ago I posted about losing at our FFA regional competition.  While I still feel that things were not judged accurately, there was no reason for me to blow up like that.

Psalm 37:8
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

Ecclesiastics 7:9
Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.

James 1:20
For man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.
I should have said "hey, we did what we could, we tried our best.  Can't expect more than that.  Next thing."

Now, I am deeply sorry that I was so upset.  I am trying (with God's help) to conquer my quick temper and fast tongue (or fingers in this case).

Ephesians 4:31
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

Colossians 3:8
But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

I have repented and now ask for your forgiveness.  And please pray for me as I try to become a meek and patient child of God.

In Christ,
~Bethany~

I forgive you, Bethany! Anger is something that so many people in this world (including myself) need to work on. Anger is an awful thing because it can change your attitude so quickly! I am so thankful that our Lord, Jesus Christ, forgives us! What a wonderful God we serve!
I will keep you in my prayers, dear friend! :)

Your Sister In Christ,
Jenna

P.S. That was so sweet of you to apologize! You are a sweet and wonderful girl, Bethany! :)

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Ps. 34:18

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Ps. 51:17

I would rather have this post than one touting your victory. A good name is more desirable than an FFA victory (King Jims adapated).

Hey Bethany,
Sorry it's been so long since I have visited...
But I read your post about FFA, and saw your frustration you were feeling about the whole thing.
The humility that you have shown in admitting and apologizing for the way you handled your loss is inspiring, and as your dad put it, much more valuable than a win!

However, I have no doubt, that you Abigail, and Katie did an AWESOME job, and the judges made a mistake by not placing you higher =)

Congrats on Gala's bucks! Jenna said that they are huge!

In His hand,
Josh
